How cool! It's awfully pretty for a weed, isn't it?

Are you supposed to eat the fruit when green or wait until it is red?

Livinonfaith:
I'll try and see if my fruits get better when ripe. I may have the bitter version of the scarlet gourd aka Ivy gourd or tindora, which may not be so edible.
I found this video;

Could somebody compare the Mexican and Indian sour gherkin. I purchased the Indian sour gherkins but I think I may have wanted the Mexicans.

Tracy, here's a picture of West Indian gherkins and the Mexican Sour Gherkins.

If you have these, they look pretty cool! Maybe even more useful than the Mexican Sour Gherkin.

Some articles seem to interchange the names, so yours may still be the Mexican Sour. Either way, they should be a lot of fun!
