Exactly, Murphy's Law. I've lost several varieties of vegies I used to grow for market and the "replacements" just weren't as good.

In a way that's how I got into seed saving. I started with hot pepper varieties that were extremely hard to find even thru places like SSE yearbook. So when I found something I would save my own seeds as it was chancy if I would ever find it again.

Then some of the tomatoes I grew started disappearing from catalogs, so I started saving some of them too.

Then I found TV and things went crazy.
