Thank you for your generosity, Fred! I received my seeds late yesterday.

These two will be joining your Spike, Lucinda, Green Tiger, and Orange Jazz in 2018's garden. What an awesome variety to grow..

You are The Best. Thanks.

A couple of years ago you had requested feedback from folks here on whether they would consider buying hybrid seeds. I has indicated yes, and was just hoping to find out how things are going with that work. I'll check out the link. Thanks.

We are constantly working to develop new varieties, both OP and hybrid.

The best place to see what is new is on our Artisan Seed Facebook page.

Interesting! I forgot doing that. I do understand a bit better what people want, in the way of seeds now. I would say most people prefer OP varieties, but the types of customers that are interested in gourmet/commercial trait hybrid varieties is significant.

As a farmer, I am finding myself to be one of those customers!

Anyway, following our facebook page is the best way to see what we are doing. Because I do try to keep my spamming at Tomatoville under control, and I assume when I do mention new things here, more people will be interested in new OP things.

Not me. I have found a few gems... I think, anyway, that are marketed as hybrids. I would grow them any day over an OP. The very last tomato in my high tunnel this year was a hybrid from burpees called honey delight. it was the last plant standing tall and proud until it hit 17 one night. it was covered in lush green foliage the entire Summer. no sprays nothing for it. I will grow it again and again. it was a nice large yellow cherry. they said it was 4oz but looking at the picture I knew it was NOT a 4 oz tomato. every one I weighed came in at 1.8 oz. Op's are great if you are saving seeds or are keeping your garden habitat to only what grows well for you, but I think there is space for all of us to have what works best for us in our gardens.

I agree with Carolyn, there are needs for both types, and both can be awesome.

I just realized you live in Selmer. Are you aware of http://rosecreekfarms.net/ ?

Ray is one of the only guys in a climate similar to mine that is crushing it. I almost went to the workshop this year, but I couldn't quite justify the cost. Hoping to go next year though.
