Default Prolific Determinate Tomato

A few years ago I grew a couple of tomato plants that I absolutely LOVED! Unfortunately, these were a couple of plants that I lost the tags to somehow so I have no idea what they were.

It was a regular leaf plant that put out oodles of slightly larger than golf ball sized red tomatoes that were very round. The plant was about 5-6 feet tall. They were also a couple of plants that were earliest to provide ripe tomatoes.

I think it may have been an heirloom that I ordered from Tatiana. I went through her list and couldn't figure out what they were.

I oven roasted them and they were the best ever oven roasted tomatoes I have had.

I would love suggestions on what these may have been so I can grow them again! Even if I don't get the exact tomato seeds, at least I will have suggestions for other tomatoes to grow out this year that resemble what I speak of!

Thanks!

Could it have been Volgograd? (http://t.tatianastomatobase.com:88/wiki/Volgograd)

Do you remember if it was a Russian tomato?

No, it wasn't either of those. I would remember those unusual names. But now I want to try them!

Oh, and just went to the link, Tatiana. That Yablonka is a PL so definitely not that one but it looks good!

Could it be one below? Maybe Early Rouge?

I noticed someone with your same name over at the other tomato forum grew these in 2010. Perhaps this list might help:

Green Zebra
Lime Green Salad
Aunt Ruby's German Green
Green Copia
Green Grape
Black Zebra
Black Krim
Brandy Wine
Orlov Yellow
Brown Berry Cherry
Black Cherry
Sun Sugar F1
Thessaloniki
Druzba
Red House Free Standing
Sierra Leone
Early Rouge
Stupice

Hope you find the one you are looking for,
Pandorae

Thanks Pandorae! Could be the Early Rouge! I think I may still have seeds for that.

Earlirouge makes sense - Stokes used to list a host of Determinate reds - Moira, Earlirouge, Basketvee, Harvestvee - I never actually tried any of them, though....seemed like they really bred varieties that would do well in Canada/northern US.

I wouldn't think it was Early Rouge. Besides being semi-determinate, not determinate, I didn't see that it was anywhere near as prolific as many of the other varieties I grew that year. If I remember correctly, a comparable variety, Campbells 1327, beat it hands down for productivity and earliness that year.

Early Rouge fruit were mostly baseball sized for me. It was quite productive,
though, with a mild, sweet flavor, and easily gets to 5'.

Come to think of it, I had Early Rouge last year and they are a bigger tomato.

Still haven't seen one that I recognize as being one that I grew. I have been trying to find my list but haven't had any luck.
