It was boiled Romano Beans and russet potatoes tonight. One of our favorite summer meals when the pole beans really kick in to gear, which they did last week.

You are going to love this.
The electrical supervisor on the job. his name is Tony Pecorino just like the cheese.
I told him I had the imported cheese at home.

The conversation turned to food fast.
A real nice guy and a Texan that loves hot food, handsome devil too.

Foods' gettin' scarce... No, but I did complain that a grandson opened the last pack of saltines and left the bag sitting there open. I saw it but thought maybe they had gone stale or something? Grandchildren operate at 1.5 the speed of light. Grandparents operate at the speed of huh?

I'm pretty sure that most of you would agree. Wasting food is not cheap eating.

Default Breakfast

Hot pepper cream cheese on a bagel.

Sarit gat and jalapeno

I find that chomping hot peppers from the garden is not very rewarding.

However mix them with any oil, (cheese, fried in oil etc) and they are so delicious with a nice even heat instead of that brutal contact burn.

Hot pepper, cheese, cracker is also an excellent combo.

Ice cream or chocolate is good with hot peppers.

I made tuna salad for tonight's dinner and Tomorrow's lunch. It was between tuna salad and egg salad and my wife wanted tuna and it didn't make any difference to me.

Eggs are the cheapest I have seen in a long time. 42 cents a dozen, 63 cents for a 18 pack and $1.97 for 5 dozen. I much prefer free range eggs but they are about $3 a dozen.

Beat all of you guys this week I can promise.
One pack of salami a loaf of bread and one giant thing of ground chuck and one sack of potatoes has fed me all week long.
Two cast iron skillets.
Lunch and supper.

We had Brats and steamed Cabbage tonight.

Tomorrow, the extra brats are going to be served with a pot of pinto beans and cornbread.
