Default Root Parsley planting seeds.

http://www.durgan.org/URL/?BKLJZ 30 April 2013 Root Parsley planting seeds.
An eight food row of root parsley seeds was planted using the board method. This vegetable is a good replacement for the parsnip and both the tops and root are utilized.

Shiver me timbers, that's alot of walkin' the plank.

Durgan,

I like Hamburg parsley, the best reason being the seed germinates better than parsnip seed, for me.

Parsnip can be a misery to germinate. Actually parsley is where I first used the board method. Also now I always save my own seed so have fresh each year. One plant left to overwinter produces a zillion seeds. I get almost 100 percent germination.

I have never used Hamburg Parsley but grew it for a Hungarian lady. This year I plan on juicing it.

I tested board method for the germinating of root parsley. This method isn´t good for me. Beds of ant under the boards.
