Default Small black dots on stems...

I have searched many pictures to show me something close to what my plants have but nothing looks like it so far. It might be that my plants have very early stages of something maybe Black spot or black speck IDK. 2 plants - Indian Stripe (in the middle of my garden) and JD's Special C-TEX (in a pot waiting for room in main garden.

I only have one of each of these varieties, so I am having a hard time deciding to scrap them. But I see these many pen-sized small black spots on the stems that are not what I would call lesions, yet. The Indian Stripe had blossoms which blackened and fell off. So I thought I would toss it, and then plant the JD's Special C-TEX. Because the JD has its 1st tomatoes on it. But has shown yellowed leaves, along with the black spots, which I have been picking off regularly.

I realize they may not be able to diagnosed but what would you do? Any advice. Scrap both? Try to save the JD Special C-TEX for the tomatoes?

If there are any black spots on the leaves it could be Septoria. Many of the spotting diseases are bacterial and often the result of too much water. Any time you keep a diseased plant around, there is the possibility of spreading. You must remember that flower blossoms can also fall off when it is too hot and humid. A photo would be helpful.
