here at snow central, we have had hardly any new snow to speak of for the past ten days or so. i'm ok with that. we have had over 200 inches to date this winter, so its a welcome break. some sunnier days, but still cold. i talked to a walgreens in phoenix, az today. sunny and 75 there. i told the pharmacist it was sunny, and 5 here.

downstate is getting hammered with snow.

I hope you all get some relief from all the snow and cold you are going through. We had temps drop and some rain but snow is not something I like too much.

The weather forecast has slipped a cog or two.
It is two days off from what it says it is going to be a week before.

After shoveling snow off the roof for the second time, we had a neighbor with a front-end loader cart off a few tons so we could see out the entrance-side window again. They're forecasting over a foot more in the coming week.

The other day the weather was fluctuating so much in East Austin it was going from 70F to -10F every few minutes.

Weather?

I don't want to discuss it.

We got about eight inches yesterday, which is a notable snowfall for southeast Michigan. I'm still very envious of your Yooper snowpack!

beautiful warm sunny day deteriorated to drizzle, of course. Warm days equal rain this time of year....the stream has been running all winter. Guess where the ducks head off to?

I was outside yesterday and it was sort of nice.
Then the wind flip flopped and came out of the north.
It was like someone opened up a freezer door.

We just had a thunder sleet storm go through. If the sleet had been just little bigger it would have been pea sized hail. It should melt later today. With exception of the past couple of winters - there is usually ice/sleet/snow here in February for at least one day. Hopefully this was the last frozen precipitation day this winter.

We got an inch of rain today and with the ground being frozen, my back yard looks like a pond.

We had 3" of fluff this Am. Snow depth is about 14". After a snowy week we're headed to a drier week and closer to normal temps.

Day length increase is really starting to get noticable!
