Default Striped Amish paste?

I bought some Amish paste seeds this spring from Johnny's or Gurney's.(I can't remember now which one.) when I google Amish paste tomatoes they look nothing like the ones I'm growing.

I know it's impossible to be sure, but that looks like Striped Roman to me.

For some reason I wrote Speckled Roman.

Was going to say the exact same thing. Looks like striped roman to me. Incidentally that was the first heirloom I ever grew many years ago. It's a good tomato but its not Amish paste

Thanks for the help. I just went and dug the seeds out and they do say Amish paste on them and were from Johnny's. I wonder if I'm the only one that got the special seeds. 😀

I would contact johnnys and let them know it does happen when you buy seeds ...I bought asparagus one year and it came up a blue flower my mother was like wth is that ? LOL .....

I am sure Johnny's would like to know about the problem. They may well give you a credit or at least send you a new packet of Amish paste for next season.

I sent them and email to let them know. I'm not upset about it or want my money back. I kinda wish I could buy a bunch of random tomato seeds so every plant we something different. I have never had a tomato I didn't like. I'm just a newb and wanted to ask before I sent an email to Johnny's. thanks everyone for the help.

The Sample Seed Shop has a ccouple of mixes you might find interesting.

I've been tempted, but with my luck I'd end up with eight of the same plant.

the nipples on yours don't look the same as striped roman. the nipples on stripped roman usually look like someone tried to push them back a bit. do you have any other pics to compare?

Those were the first 2 ripe ones. Ill look when I get home to see if there's more. Also the plants are very wispy and droopy, but growing and producing good. Ill take a pic of the plants tonight as well.

I did get a reply from Johnny's and they think stripped Roma as well.
