Default Yellow Brandywine Platfoot

This is a question for Craig LeHouiller, father of the Yellow Brandywine, and others who know this tomato. My seeds from TomatoFest are the Brandywine, Yellow-Platfoot Strain. The seedlings were finiky and somewhat puny. They are now planted out and growing fairly slowly. I am wondering whether to start again with new seedlings.

Are there any special needs of this plant? Suggestions? I really want to get some yield from these since my parents love the yellow tomato.
