As I get older, I need a tomato that releases an antacid about 30 minutes after consumption!

Wonder if they can find that gene or splice it in.

Seems unnecessary, but I really hope they give spicy tomato varieties names like “arrabbiata.”

If tomato gets crispy as well as spicy then, it's not a tomato it's a pepper. If tomato stays smooshy but tastes like a pepper, where does the crispy bit come from. I guess there is someone out there who wants one plant to do everything..... how bout tomato flavored cabbages?
Tomatoes should taste like tomatoes. Peppers are peppers. But nowadays, you could fall in love with a girl who was born a guy... I won't say anything good or bad about that, but things are changing. They always have and always will.

I am thinking of the "law of unintended consequences". How will this affect all the chile (chilli) growers? Stuffed tomato relleno would be a bit too juicy. Do I need a third more garden space for hot tomatoes ?

This would be awesome of they could stabilize several blends for flavor and heat. Just saying.
