Does anyone know how big the plant gets. How big the fruit is? And what they thought of the taste.

It's a dwarf. Mine was only about 2.5' tall. Medium-sized fruit. It wasn't bad, flavor-wise, but I think I liked Chocolate Lightning better. I think they looked very similar, from what I remember. Unless you really want the pretty striped skin, I like Tasmanian Chocolate better than either one.

I grew 2 plants last year. Both were under 3 feet tall. I had med/small slicers with a weird flavor on one plant. On the other plant i had good tasting pear shaped fruits that resembled Japanese Black Trifel in size and shape but the color was more of brownish than black. I saved seed but would most likely only grow the pear shaped one again some day.

I'm growing it this year. I got seeds from Kath's very generous seed offer last fall. I've never grown dwarf tomatoes, or tomatoes from seed at all, so this is all new.

While I can't really be sure, your seed starter looks very moist near the plant stem. Be careful there.

Yah very wet. Look how the moisture is wicking up the label. Wet dirt in contact with the stem is an invitation to fungal invasion (notably 'damping off').

At this stage the surface should be dry while the roots drill for water. In small pots like this I like to bottom water when the pot feels light.

If I am in a good mood, I add about 1/2" layer of fine pine bark (1/4" to 1/2").
This way the top of soil always stays dry : No invitation for gnats.
Also I do bottom watering even if I am in a bad mood.

Mine are small, barely bigger than a cherry tomato. They ripen to the reddish brown they are supposed to, and when sliced open, are green inside. Good flavor. Will be back next year.
