Okay now say hello to Monty.
They all come to my house that is what the lady up the street said.
Monty lives across the street he was tied up to the front porch got loose and came to my house came in and made himself at home like he had lived here all his life.
Do these animals communicate with each other some how or what.

Worth if you listen in the evening, the dogs will be barking out talking to one another over the distance. Mostly they boast about their owners, what they had to eat, etc. Funny animals.
I bet they do talk about you.

Re: The yard scalping. One guy that lived next to me would mow his yard fairly regularly, but it would always look like sh!t. Once my mower needed repair so I borrowed his. Turns out his front wheels were adjusted all the way up (scalp), and the back wheels all the way down.

Clue much?

I have been hinting to him for years about it.
He came from Texas city where if you weren't mowing in the rain your grass was too tall.
He cant get over it.

As for Monty.
I checked on him later today because he was supposed to be tied up on the front porch.
He saw someone walking up the street so he was putting out his warning bark.
I said, Hi Monty and he recognized me and stopped.
I started walking back to the house and he started howling for me to come back and be with him.
These folks moved in a few weeks ago and are new here and I dont think any one has welcomed them.

I will go up tomorrow and introduce myself and tell them if their dog is missing to come to my house like every one else does.
Nobody minds their dogs coming to see me or being in my house.
They are just glad the critters are safe.

No kidding I have never had kids but when kids lived next to me they were always at my house learning things.
One time I showed them the dangers of guns by scaring the crap out of them.
Come here guys I want to show you why you dont play with guns.
I had then stand next to me and I shot a one gallon jug of water with a 12 gauge shotgun about 5 feet away.
They jumped through their skins.
See that is what will happen to you or your friends if you ^&%$ with guns they aren't toys.
Get the pictuer?
Yes sir.

We had some heavy rain here in the holler today. I had to drag the water pump up the creek bank earlier to keep the rising water from getting over it. So me and the dogs went back down to check on things this evening, and MAN, was Lucy Lou wound up tight tonight!

First, she tried to knock Barney off of the four wheeler when we got there.

He was just sitting there minding his own business.

Then she jumped in to the creek swimming around and around, I finally threw a weed in there for her to get, and she did in dramatic fashion, of course. She took it to the other side and dared me to come take it, Molon Labe style!

I just turned and started to leave her, and then she swam back across the creek, ran at me and attacked my ankles!

It was getting dark, and time to leave. When it starts to get late here on calm summer nights, I often hear banjo music.. I don't like it when I hear that.

Some of you may have read where I made the comment, 'If I only had a lathe.

Here is an example of that and it didn't dawn on me till the other day filling up a bottle, this was one of those reasons.
It is my new hot sauce bottle filler upper attachment for my kitchen funnels.
The tapered end goes into the small hole of the bottle and the other end fits snugly into my funnels.

Works great.

Would it be wise to cut a slot in one side to let the air escape?

No need to the part that goes into the bottle lets air out on its own.

I have already filled up two bottles with these things.

A big thunder storm is coming through.
Lightning strikes all around.
There is a scratching at the garage door.
Say hello to Marley not Monty but this time a big 80 pound soaking wet scared to death Marley.
Why do these dogs come to my house in times of distress for crying out loud.
I called and left a message and he is at my feet laying down as we speak.
