!!!!! yay for good taste and thin clear skin on beautiful colours already in the F1. so cool to watch from a distance. now translate those into a PL F2 and we will have what I was looking for already. I am convinced there will also be a bicolour, maybe even a green bicolour in the F2. If not, we can go back to the F1 and grow out a second lot. Save lots of seeds partner, this is going to be fun!

Hey Marsha, about how much do they weigh? They look to be salad-sized or so perhaps? I'm so glad that they taste good! Wheeeee!

Robin, I havent weighed them, but my guess would be 1-2 oz.
Karen, I haven't a clue as to who got the other 2 plants, someone did, but it was at my annual plant swap, and many attended.
Karen, I still have all the rest of your F1 seeds, shall I send those back to you when I send the F2s?

Default TIME FOR SEEDS!

Cut fruit for seed saving today. I Used 3 fruit of the purple, and I notice regular islands of darkness in the pericarp. Locules, one had 4, seeds already removed, and the other two had 3. One fruit not totally ripe but close enough, and I think the seeds will be fine.
Being purple, not brown, I think the clear epi is a given, so I did not peel and scrape.

Default Heres the pink.

Pink, first off taste is yummy, tomatoey, sweet, with enough acid to keep it far from bland, thin skin, firm texture but not crunchy. Locules, there are 3. Also took off a pice of skin and scraped it to confirm that indeed the epi is clear.

Love this thread and what you've found.

It's so nice to see you growing tomatos when it's so cold out for everyone else.

Keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing more from this project and hopefully trying some soon
