That's very strange Pants. I have envelopes come through without a customs form. I'm thinking that was your local post office that returned it.

Do some people do customs forms? If so how do most people describe the contents? I skipped it in case 'seeds' would scare the customs people.

I've seen lots that do....with everything from seeds, to pepper seeds, to tomato seeds, to vegetable seeds written on the customs form and it's been fine. In fact, one of the envelopes that I recently received, was opened, inspected and resealed by customs...and everything was just fine. I think it just said pepper seeds on the envelope.
Your envelope will be fine. Pepper and tomato seeds are ok to send to Canada. Thanks |

I just mailed my seeds today, and I had to fill out a form. The postal employee was fine when I told her it contained tomato seeds.

Seeds are on the way to you Heather. Custom form had to be filled out. No problem with sending tomato seeds.

I mailed mine again today. I think the main issue I had was that the padded envelop was thicker than 3/4" and so was considered a package and billed at a higher rate than I had paid. This also meant that it required a customs form.
If the package had been thinner then it wouldn't have been an issue. |

Thanks for the updates everyone. We're up to 131 participants. I'm still accepting new signups until October 20th (provided you can get your seeds in the mail by Oct 20th if you live outside of Canada).
Thanks...Heather |
