I am finally going to get my experimental hots (described in this thread plus others I didn't offer in the share) into pots later today - planted 29 different selections, but will have nearly 70 plants due to obvious leaf color or shape differences. Pretty interesting! Will post some pics once they are in their final resting places. A few that I shared are still very variable - out of 10 seedlings, going to grow out 4 plants. More reports to come...

Here is what I planted out in pots:

Pepper 5: three plants - very purple foliage, a bit less purple, and perhaps a bit even less - not sure if I have two or three types.

Pepper 7: three plants - green foliage/stem, green foliage/purple streaked stem, and relatively large leaf

Pepper 11: three plants - green stem, another green stem (could be the same), and purplish stem (all with green leaf)

Pepper 8: three plants - purplish foliage, green foliage larger leaf, green foliage slightly smaller leaf (may be the same)

Pepper 10: three plants - two with green foliage (slightly different stem color perhaps?), and one with purplish foliage.

Pepper 13a: three plants - large green leaf, very purple leaf, and a bit less purple leaf (may or may not be different)

Pepper 47: all uniform, so 1 plant - very purple foliage

Pepper 14: three plants - very purple foliage, purplish stem, and green stem, green leaf

Pepper 22: two plants, but very similar - green stem (one perhaps a bit purplish at the base)

Pepper 29: uniform, so one plant - lovely purplish, nearly metallic shaded large leaf

Pepper 37: three plants - very purple, green leaf, and another green that may be just slightly different.

Pepper 38: Three plants - black purple leaf, purplish leaf, green leaf

Pepper 1: three plants - very purple leaf, purplish leaf, green leaf

Pepper 6: three plants - purplish leaf, slightly purple stem, green stem

Pepper 9: three plants - very purple leaf, slightly purple stem, purple leaf that may be the same as the first (but growing just in case)

Pepper 43: two plants - very green stem/leaf both - may be a slight variation, so growing both.

We have fruitset on #6! The plants is about 9 inches tall with one stem and has started to grow side stems. The flower petals are white with a bit of purple on the edge of some of them.

Today was pretty grim and the peppers are still quite small, but here is my hot pepper grow-out line up of pots! Also, my two trays of extras (I started 10 seeds of each type, so about 200 plus spares that we are going to poke into our flower beds here and there!)

#5 and #10 are doing great. One of each in the ground and two of each in pots. Both have purple leaves, which is cool because I've never grown a pepper with purple leaves, looks great!
Gonna stick one more in the ground over the weekend.

How is everyone doing on this project? Recent cool weather has slowed down the adjustment of some of mine into their final pots, but they are growing....I will wait a week or so before I take individual pictures (not much to see yet, except for the foliage variation).

It's been cold and rainy here. I've got blooms out the wazoo. They aren't growing though LoL
I will get some pics this week. #1 I planted 2 w/purple foliage and 1 w/green foliage. The purple blooms really stand out on the one with the green foliage!
Oh and 1 of the #8's got beheaded during plant out. I stuck it in the ground anyway and it's putting on lots of new growth.

OK - here we go - finally got some updates! Here are, for each pepper, the various seedlings I selected to grow out based upon differences in leaf color or size. For those with 3-4 pictures, the instability is still high. In a few cases, the seedlings looked very uniform so I grew only 1-2.

First, here is a pic of the two flats of untransplanted seedlings - which shows the incredible variety of leaf colors! If there is anyone in the Raleigh area that wants some of these to try, let me know...I will keep them going for a few more weeks (we will probably tuck them around our gardens - they are such beautiful plants!)

Craig, do the really dark ones start out light green and turn that lovely dark purple - or are these reverting back to regular green colour?
