More Rockport damage.

Buildings collapsed with people inside. Sheriff car windows broken. Hurricane Harvey has hit landfall a second time on Copano Bay which is not far from Rockport.

Not weather related but the Famous Franklin BBQ caught on fire in Austin.
Been pouring down rain all night here.
I am high and dry but many people in my area get flooded out every time it rains and Bastrop county has opened shelters for them.
Bastrop people only.

Just woke up to heavy wind and rain. Looking at my link above they are giving a first look of damage at Port Aransas.

A hotel in Rockport is pretty much destroyed on the second and third story. The storm chasers were staying at this hotel, now headed for a shelter. Lots of damage at Rockport /Fulton High School. These pictures are horrifying.

Still a category 1 and beating up Victoria with the eye of the storm just west of the city.

I know this is not over by any means, but I am encouraged there wasn't more widespread structural damage from the wind and landfall. Is it moving more inland than they thought? It doesn't appear to have stalled out yet like they predicted.

A band of rain from the hurricane just passed here 350+ miles north. It was just rain and the only reason I mention it is to show how far away the rain bands are making it.

I was going to run out of smokes and went gun shopping for a friend.
There isn't anyone hardly on the streets.
Down town almost dead as well as the store.
Wind kicking up and a ton of rain.

My bamboo is loving it.

Yes, it's moving inland faster than they thought. They don't think it will double back here again. Thank God!
