While others are wondering if KP is the first to fruit (or get ripe fruit), I'm wondering the opposite - will KP will be the last to set fruit or the last fruit to eat?
Time will tell for both sides. |

Yes, because we are on the tail end of our season. The thought occurs though that the other plants in your garden are months older than the KPs, so maybe next season will be a true trial of that.

My two KP’s have been planted - I’m growing out one and my neighbor is growing out the other one. We have had a couple of warm days and warm nights but the last two days have been rainy, cloudy and cool. I will send photos soon to show how they are adjusting to their new homes. Hopefully the weather is going to turn around but night temps are showing around 58 F for the next few days. This is going to be an interesting growing season. My tomato beds are in full sun for at least 8 hours - possibly more - at least when the sun is actuallly out. So with luck, they will take off.

I sowed 4 seeds of KARMA pink late evening of March 22, and all 4 popped up the morning of March 26. They would have been the first to germinate, except for 1 Maglia Rosa...
They were lovely sturdy seedlings with those enormous floppy potato leaves (my favourite!). I had planned to grow all of them for my own greedy self, but wisdom prevailed and I shared 3 of them with close master gardener friends. My own is still not planted out because the forecast for tonight was 0C. It has been amended to 2C, but in my experience the actual temps are frequently 2 or 3 degrees colder than predicted. So I am keeping all of my precious tomatoes in their little pots until the overnight lows are at least 5C. We did enjoy a stretch of nice warm weather with decent overnight lows, but I knew it would cool off again, because, you know, the full moon... Now that all of the plant sales are over, hopefully I can be more timely on the KP updates.

Excited for you to try it Willa, soon you will be able to rely on the temp. Even here it is supposed to be 7-8 at night this week.
And I am happy you are growing it and sharing too Sharon. I’m sure once it settles in it will take off for you. Thanks for the updates! Karen |

Here is an update on my (nearly) ten week old KARMA Pink.
The first flower truss has four visible fruit and the second truss has a bevy of open flowers. |

Is it just me or does KARMApink have some really big showy petals compared to most other tomatoes? I thought that on my plant but pictures posted here all look similar. Maybe I'm just hallucinating.
