Zena's Gift will stay with us. Thank you so much Karen for the this variety. It survived our extremely hot summer without any signs of healthy problems. I am waiting for the last fruits to ripen. We liked the traditional taste very much. And it is such a pleasure to see those beautiful fruits in my garden.

I took a photo of the green Zena's Gift today. It is more ribbed and has more hearty shape than fruits from my previous photo, taken during the peak of the summer. Maybe tomatoes protected themselves against the heat reducing the size of the surface? Just guess. Normally we experience rain and cold, not a heat.

Zena's Gift tomato
Thank you Ginger2778 for the Zena's gift tomato seeds. Tried fall planting in hot Texas and the fruit starts to change color. It is so beautiful. I am very surprised it grew so well in Fall. All other tomato didn't set much fruits.

Beautiful! Very pleased to see you growing my Zena’s gift in Texas, and interesting to see that they are producing for you in heat.
Thank you for posting the photo! KarenO |
