getting bigger
I think this one has crossed the 2lb mark, I will measure around it in the next day or two. It is not blushing, the sun is really intense where the plant sits, it does have a little sunscald on top.

I've never had a mega bloom quite this big, I'm excited! This is my Porterhouse Hybrid plant.

I have a fused flower, not really a MEGA.
It is on a dwarf called: Purple Heat. It looks like a double to me. |

Any fused bloom is a mega bloom. The photo depicts what appears to be a triple fused bloom by the look of the bloom on the ride side as it continues around.

AKmark that is not only a beast but very pretty for a MB. Here is one on my Prudence Purple. It isn't very far along yet but looks to be a 4 bloom.

It is amazing that only my dwarfs have megablooms. Three of them, sofar. I'll keep them. Last year my Silvery Fir Tree put out several , no other variety did. Gardeneer. |

I have megablooms on my Cherokee Purples, Black Krim, Copper plants and the Porterhouse hybrid. Do you guys find that blacks have more megablooms than other varieties?

It seems to me that the majority, if not all of the OP heirloom beefsteak type tomatoes I have grown get MB's eventually. I'm on the fence about keeping or culling usually doing some of each depending on many variables. They are fun to watch grow but hard to look at sometimes. The best thing about them I think is seeing other peoples reaction to them.

My mom's Azoychka has it as well, seems like it is just a ball of green that has no flowery petals at all... Hoping for a megafruit, they are tasty and do not scare me with their exotic looks.
