Pie birds or pie vents. I believe that nursery rhyme is where they got the bird design (which is most common) from, but I'm not sure. I found my little witch at the antique mall, I always find neat things there.

All those bags on the shelf at the top of the picture are from an Indian grocery where I get curry supplies. Best place to pick up quality spices on the cheap.

Worth, This is the perfect time in your life to get things in order. The house is a great place to start!

We never up-sized, so we don't have to down-size. But that also means we need to seriously consider every new acquisition and decide what can go to make room for it.

I also flip flop between periods of wanting to purge everything we no longer use, and feeling the need to hang on to things. I've learned to take action when the urge to clean stuff out strikes!

These were in my cabinet I have no idea what tbe exam use of them is.
They have never been used and have different colored dippers like a fondue set but they are dippers not forks.
They are ceramic but not porcelain.
What on earth are they for?

Looks like a condiment set up with the chrome holder.

Oooohhh... They look like what you get with popadoms at our local Indian restaurant. One for chutney, one for onions, one for mint yogurt and one for lime pickle

I'm going with the condiment caddy.

I have a pile of worthless stuff like this around the house.

Yesterday I took apart all of my lower cabinets and started cleaning and putting it in an organized manner.
I discovered my wife had bought most of it.
Who in hell needs 7 Pyrex pie plates.
Then the Pyrex pans or what ever they are and corning ware pot stuff.
Big clay baking thing she used only one time and some other dish baking thing.
I absolutely cant stand glass cookware.
It seemed like my brother every year bought us another set for Christmas.
We would return it for something else.
Well anyway I hit a brick wall yesterday looking at the stuff she bought, it broke my heart.

Well anyway here is today's lunch.

A homemade Canadian bacon Swiss chard and tomato sandwich.
With potato crispy things.

Default Random Pictures.

Italian night at Worth's!!!

I made pizza last night myself -- one Margarita with last year's canned sauce and this year's fresh basil, and a tomato/eggplant using some Costoluto Genoveses and my first two Violetta Lungo eggplant from the garden. The crust was made using my now four year old sour dough starter.

Oh yeah, they were baked on my new Baking Steel which replaced my recently cracked baking stone.
