I'm really looking forward to meeting people and seeing the differences in all the varieties.
I think the date and location are set. I'm down to a few finalists on the name. I guess we can always change the name in the future. Heck I'm looking forward to some 65 degree days so I can plant my tomatoes. We're having a real live winter this year.

Sounds like an enviable list to me! I'm growing 6 of those.

Feldon,
It would cost too much money to take off. About $1200 for the weekend then there is the fact I might not get a charter to the slope for a while. I'm on the slope now waiting for a flight out. It is delayed due to the fog in Anchorage, my luck they will cancel it. I think they will Then I have to try to get on a plane on Tuesday 1:30 in the morning if I can get away from here, if there is any room. I was going to leave last Thursday but stayed over for a few days. I give up half my life up here and I sometimes don’t think it’s worth the money. This has happened before and it stinks. ((((((I am not a happy camper right now.))))))) Worth |

This shift work is a real drag; there are guys up here that have not had the holidays off for years.
I was really looking forward to meeting everyone but as Suze said, late June is too late and it is too early for the first part of June for others. Besides Suze lives just up the road and You Feldon, we don’t live that far apart. And the folks down SA way aren’t that far either. So all said maybe we can meet at some other time and I bet we have more in common than tomatoes.(((LOL))) Worth |

An informal get-together sounds great to me.

We've got the name, the domain (.com), the location, and the date. Now we just need the tomatoes.
An announcement is forthcoming.

Feldon,
What's your .com name? Would you like me to link to it on tomatopalooza.org? Lee

M., received the permit/reservation for use of the pavillion on the 16th in the mail today. So we are totally locked in.
I'd like to know the website name too; didn't save it from chat. Edit - never mind, it was easy enough to figure out. D'oh! But I'll let you post it when you're ready, and/or when there's some content. |
