At this stage in the game, my excitement is focused on the ones that are setting fruit and looking like keepers.
I'm super excited about Oaxacan jewel, since it was a bit of a long shot to do well for me, and here it is setting fruit as happy as a clam. I'm growing Stupice and Moravsky Div, and both of them are simply adorable, fruitful wonders. Can't wait for the taste test! Fiaschetto da Napoli is the first roma I've ever grown and they are super cute! And I love the determinate growth habit.. so hopeful they'll be tasty. I was worried about the health and production of Anna Russian, but now I see three pea sized fruit are coming on, so the excitement builds! As for the rest, I'm keeping it down to 'mildly curious'...at least, until a taste is imminent. |

Red Siberian - for the first time again. The one I planted last year went through a terrible drought then flooding rains. So after the first one picked the rest were so cracked they were only good for sauce. The tomatoes were huge for such an early tomato though (about 1 lb. each). So I have 2 planted this year, one in VT and one in NY, and both have fruit set already, right behind my Bloody Butchers.

I've recently added Black Prince to my group, as a friend bought a six-pack and gave me one. I only had a 4 gal pot to put it in so we'll see how it does/tastes.
