I was saddened to read this post. I didn’t know Fred, but I did receive some of his seeds through many of his seed offerings. You feel like maybe you know him a little from reading his post on various tomatoes he’s was working on. That’s why it comes as shock.
I ran out of Maglia Rosa seed, so I periodically checked his site, but it was under maintenance. Now I know why.

Joyce, I sent you the link several weeks ago. Check your messages again please. . You posted a photo ( of yourself!) on their memorial album for Fred so you have the link already. You need to read the invitation and rsvp to his family to join virtually

For anyone else who may still wish to attend virtually, the service is tomorrow. All who knew Fred and those who appreciated his work are welcome as per his family’s invitation. Message for the link to rsvp in order to receive the link to join the memorial in your email.
The link will be sent from his family, not from me.

Sorry to hear of his loss. It is always sad to see an innovator in tomatoes leaving us too soon. God bless his family.

I still have a bag of Terremoto Landrace Squash I got from Fred, if anyone would like to try it next summer, I'll be happy to send out some seeds. (these are old seeds that did germinate for me 2 years ago).

Dak, what is the range of DTM for this squash? I would love to try it, but many of the mid to late squash don't have time to harden off properly up here.

I think I will try it because Fred teaching Us here for years/ to try it for myself. I was always fascinated by How the Late Dr, Carolyn and Fred Crossing Verieties. Especially How Fred Crossed this Terremoto Squash meaning: Earthquake in a Foreign Languish.

Thank You, Amen!

I'm going to say it was mid to late, it takes a while for the skin to harden.
