Thanks Black Bear and Nan! I added it to the grow list as an after-thought when I saw someone mention it was on the early side and realized I had seeds from the MMMM. Productive with strongly flavored are bonus qualities!

Hopefully it turns out to be one I'll miss if I don't grow it.

I hope you have a relatively dry summer. Gregori's was a stem to stem (360 degree) splitter in past years, here, when there was heavy rain.

Well, then let's hope this ideal weather pattern we seem to be in continues!

not as well in heat .

I didn't get any cracking on either to note.....

I didn't plant these because this is my 1st year planting in containers and I was afraid they would get too big. However, given how well some of my larger varieties have done so far, I think they will be OK in a 10 gallon grow bag.
Scott, may I ask what your seed source is for the platfoot strain?

I bought a packet this year and had a dreadful time. Terrible germination and the one plant that made it to transplant failed to flower, was weak and then fell to disease.

I'm going to try another seed source next year.

I miss the same ones every year. I miss the beauty of the gold tomatoes like KBX and Dr. Wyches Yellow but I don't miss their rather mild flavor so I guess I will continue missing them. I grow strictly for flavor now and if a variety doesn't show me some complex rich flavor it will eventually be dropped from my plant out list.

I wish I could have sown more cherry varieties, especially pink ones (Baby Pink Plum), also Artisan ones like Pink Tiger or Blush.

Orange Jazz was a flavor favorite in this years' garden-much better than KBX or Orange Minsk. Bellini Hyb. was a cocktail size orange (big cherry) favorite, great flavor, compact plant and lots of production.

Kremser Perle - certainly not outstanding for most people, but it's a super early variety with a taste that I enjoy on a healthy and easy plant.

Candy Sweet Icicle - planted one but it's a mutation or cross. The plant does really well but I miss the original taste.

An oxheart, I completly missed planting one in this season.

This was my first year growing GA and it was very good, early and big. I thought it was finished, but now it has lots of smaller fruit on it and they are very good, so I agree it is early and has some hear tolerance.

Am I allowed to miss all those I didn't have room to plant this year? It's a long list...

Although, I'm watching my tomato plants go down to septoria right now, so the ones I didn't plant are the lucky ones.

Same here. Planted Sungold II this year to be able to save seed but they suck. Not near as productive or disease resistant.

For some reason, GA was nothing special here - it could have been the location that was too shadocy. No taste whatsoever.

I really miss the Artisan varieties I have grown previous years.. Next year there'll definitely be a spot for Blush or Pink Tiger (my faves from that designing house)

sorry to hear that about GA for you....and your environment ...too bad ..

I guess it can change ......My GA set fruit early in cool conditions and ..

was not the first to ripen but ...had Large ...blemish free fruit . Picture

perfect ..(Magazine picture ) fruit ..... you could be right about GA the flavor ..

but I always eat them fresh from the garden ...which is fine for me ..

I guess GA is no Brandywine etc. etc. ...The problem is trying to keep all

the "Honorable mentions " Tomato varieties represented every year ...
