Is there any way to upload photos from pictures stored on my computer? I'm not experienced in posting photos, but I am willing to take and share pictures of my "mud sculptures" as some of the neighbors term them.

Here is my version of a hugel, using rotted logs and little walls to hold the topsoil from a raised bed I am replacing. The hugel is dug 12" below grade which provides the soil for the walls.

Wow! That Georgia red clay does look like it bakes solid!
What breed of cat? |

Which cat? The one on the hugel appears to be a Burmilla mix, the one stretching is an elderly Seal Point Siamese, the one sitting in my lap as I type this reply is a Maine Coon Mix.

Cross sectional view of my current Hugel
This photo was taken today and shows a better cross sectional view of my hugel, including the excavation into the existing ground, the stacked rotten logs, and the walls holding recycled topsoil. I use a substantial border both because it's in my front yard and to keep the tall Bermuda out which otherwise quickly invades.
