I received my copy of Carolyn's book today along with a seed order I recently placed. It is truly a work of art. Yes, I am already buying seeds for 2013.

Along with my seed order there was a complimentary pack of Yellow Pear tomato seeds. As soon as I picked up my book and turned it over there was a picture of a Yellow Pear tomato. I was pleasantly surprised.

Would loved to own a signed copy, but this will do just fine.

Carolyn, Thanks for a job well done.

If you really would like me to autograph it here's what others have done.

You can send me the book and include a prepaid mailer for me to return the book since that works best for me.

Or you can do what others have done, which I think is even better and that's to send me a stiff small card, apretty one or jsut a small index card, it makes no difference, and tell me the name of the person whom I'm signing it for, I send it back and you paste it inside that front flap.

If interested just PM me for my home address.

And of course I'm interested where you got your seeds from that still had copies of my book for sale and what they were charging for the book, given that if you read this thread you'll see that many non-seed places were asking hundreds of dollars. Methinks maybe you got your seeds and book from Tom Hauch at Heirloom seeds in PA?

Carolyn,
I am so excited to receive your book in the mail today! I purchased it from Heirloom Seeds and they were generous enough to send along a free packet of Yellow Pear seeds with the book. I just wanted you to know that the book has exceeded my expectations with it's scrumptious color photos that are nothing short of pornography for these tomato loving eyes.

I hope Heirloom never runs out of this book for all those who have yet to discover it!

O M G.

I just connected the dots and realized that I've had Carolyn's book for a few years now! It's all covered with sticky tags of different varieties I have or want to try.

I even gave a copy to my dad as a gift.

Outstanding work!

I keep mine next to my bed so I can flip through it before I go to sleep each night.

This thread is so timely, after I joined here, I was off to the library to pick up some books, picked up one titled 100 Heirloom Tomatoes for the American Garden. I love this book, it is a great book for those new to heirloom. I love the pictures, descriptions, all of it.

I'm going to order it, if I can find it.

Try http://www.heirloomseeds.com/ b/c I saw several posts up from yours that he still had some books and was selling them at the normal price.

If you read through this thread you'd see that many places are selling them for hundreds of dollars each now that the book is out of print.

Wow, bought the book based on these posts, and it's better than advertised. Dr. Male, you are an incredible wealth of knowledge.

Worth
I've been told that I have the mind of a steel trap, CLOSED.
This book will give you some much information through-out the years. I think I brought my's around 2005, but I lost it during hurricane Irene. I will reorder it this year. You never know when the information you learn will became "a "heirloom farmer life saver". This is the first year I am letting my tomatoes grow in it's natural pattern on the ground, because we have to rebuild the permanent staking. My plants are around 8 feet. So far my Great White tomatoes plants have more tomatoes per plant, but you will lose some from insect bits. By growing them on the ground their is no wind damage to the plants "going by last week high winds".

It's a fantastic book--just be careful with it! I recently spent a rainy afternoon browsing through the book again, and safely made it all the way to the last page. Then, before I knew it, I was on Remy's website adding Zogola seeds to my cart! While I was there, a few more Italians caught my eye and in went Romeo and Ernesto. Husband's Polish and I already have Olpaka, so I figured why not pick up some Polish Linguisa to go with the Zogola...
