Default Big John's

For the past two years, I have bought from Big John's Garden. While I use a variety of sources, he has some unique stuff and the old dependables. Packaging is nice and shipments have been timely.

I use Wegrowgarlic and http://www.gourmetgarlicgardens.com/. Both great sites, Gourmet Garlic Gardens has a ton of info on their site as well.

I just bought my 2012 seed garlic at the Saugerties (NY) Garlic Festival on Saturday. Huge bulbs of German White, German Red, and Music for only $7 - 8/pound, and you can select your own bulbs with no minimum. I bought 210 bulbs, most for a local farmer.

I've had great luck with garlic starts purchased from Territorial Seed. Lots of varieties to choose from and shipping is reasonable from the west coast to the east coast.

The only unfortunate thing is that they sell out too quickly.

Whenever you visit my grave,

say to yourselves with regret

but also with happiness in your hearts

at the remembrance of my long happy life with you:

No matter how deep my sleep I shall hear you,

and not all the power of death

can keep my spirit

from wagging a grateful tail.
