Darrel has generously offered to share some of his limited seed, and since I still haven't received a response from the 2nd company in the UK, this is a great way for us to be able to try it & save our own seed this season, so I'll drop the effort of trying to obtain a UK source. Thanks Darrel!

Heads up that I have seed packed for all requests received so far and will drop them in the mail tomorrow. Each pack contains 5 to 6 seed.
I still have about 50 seed remaining and will fill up to 10 more requests if anyone else wants them. Just PM me an address. DarJones |

Darrell-
Thank you so much for your generosity! You are truly paying it forward. I'm making room for this one, even if it has to be in the neighbor's yard!

Last year I got YS in a trade, but have not grown it out yet. From all the hype you are giving it, I'm almost feeling a little faddish and might have to add it to my list.
For those of you that have tried it...can you compare the taste to something else? |

uhmmmm - Yellow Submarine has the consistency of Yellow Pear but with a tomatoey flavor that lingers on the palate ... very nice in salads or lightly stuffed for apps ...

I do not have room this year but in a year or two I think I will have to give this one a try.

I just received 100+ seeds of Yellow Submarine. So, if Darrel runs out, give me a PM.

I just wanted to make everyone aware that my original seed source for Yellow Submarine was supplied by Bill Malin of NM (Spudleafwillie) who acquired them through the seed company in Ireland.
Pretty sure he sent out a large batch out to someone who supplied them to some in this thread to share. ~ Tom

Tom-I have been following this thread. I have had seed for Yellow Submarine for 2-3 years, also from Bill, but have never grown it. I hated Yellow Pear when I grew it years ago. It was super prolific and super bland. But I have germinated Yellow Submarine this year-hope its good.

This is killing me, all of this talk about Yellow Submarine and I already have all of the plants that I will grow this year.
I WILL be mooching seeds from some kind and generous person that can see it in their heart to send me a few seeds. I will be willing to trade seeds for it from my new and improved Brandywine Worth’s strain. It’s just like the original Brandywine but with a whole new history. Worth |

Worth,
Do you do a fall planting, in your area? PM me if you'd like seeds. Gary |
