After I thought about it, I ordered 10 standard trays and 150 4" pots. I'm going to start my tomato seeds in stryofoam egg cartons, in 100% DE and up pot to the 4" pots. I figure I can get a few years use out of them. Sometimes you just gotta buy new stuff!

I guess I'm the only one that has ever experienced a problem with them.....We got aluminum chafing pans from the local wholesale club one year and used them as trays under the pots. Perhaps it was the water in our area but the water ended up eating through the aluminum after a while. We ended up going back to plastic.

Oh my, I'm surprised that the aluminum was eaten up by your water! You drink this water yourself? LOL. I could be the fertilizers too. I'm glad I just bit the bullet and bought the trays and pots.
