To address some misconceptions that may be apparent, sft (single flower truss) is pretty much useless in the homozygous state, where it would result in a plant with lots of leaves and very few fruit. It is only useful in the heterozygous condition and thus is an example of a beneficial trait that can only be reliably reproduced in an F1 hybrid.
