As for Zatta, the taste is good (there are better), but the texture is akin to baby food. It's the softest melon I've ever trialed. "Firm, but melting" is the phrase often used by "experts" for what they consider the best texture in many fruits. Zatta clearly doesn't make it. |

I will send Early Idaho, Kahnawake Mohawk, and Zuni Shalako (I only have a few seeds of each). As for Black Valentine, I have lots of seeds. But...some of the seeds are shiny, and some are dull. I don't know if weather conditions causes this, or if it's incorrect seed. I'll let you decide what may or may not be the real Black Valentine. |

Whoo Hoo!! ::happy dance:: ::happy dance::
And LOL; just a few acres, myself, and occasional 'mule' service from DH... but really, I hope I didn't ask for too much - it's my first swap other than with individuals and I wanted to send and receive plenty! So exciting!!! And thanks again PS So happy to hear about Fritz' seeds, too; that's great news! |

I may have made a big boo boo. Those few participants who did not include a wish list in your packages, and later PM'd them...well I wrote them down, and I think I deleted the PM's (as I can't find them). Now I cant find my written lists, either. Please PM again, while I look.

And, those requesting Lofthouse Buttercup, you may want to check out the Miscellaneous Edibles forum.

I guess we do make a pretty good mule team - been digging up the lawn since we moved in
Bean poles, yes but I have a feeling there'll be more by spring... lots of cattle panels too! Arched, singles, rows, and 40' of cross-braced! Gonna try arching a few even higher this year and see how that goes... |

Hi Tormato,
Yes, I'd be happy to get the roundish Lazy Housewife seeds. The Black Valentine I've grown in the past had shiny seeds. For what it's worth, those are my go-to snap beans if we have a cold, wet spring because they are shorter season and are supposed to be able to handle cold better than most common beans. The seeds I already have are getting pretty old so I wouldn't mind a goodly amount...cuz this is Minnesota. Stay warm and have a great New Year! |

I guess it either got lost or someone at the customs decided to try new heirloom varieties next spring. |
