S-S: 83
F-B: 81 C: 136 OTT: 300 Total est weight = 545.1 Lbs Weekly Weight gain = 15.7 lbs I am measuring every Sunday Target Weight: 700 Lbs Weight to go: 154.9 Lbs Weight to Tie State Record 92.9 Lbs. I need 15 Lbs a week to beat the record. It has been hot this week (high 90's) it should cool down next week I will keep feeding it and hope I can make it. I have 7 weeks to go. Wish me luck!! 1112 Holland S-S: 64 F-B: 63 C: 93 OTT: 220 Total est weight = 223.2 Lbs Weekly Weight gain = 14 Target Weight: 700 Lbs Weight to go: 476.8 Lbs It's clear the 1112 will not make my target weight, but it is the one I will enter in the Tulsa State Fair.

your pumpkin and plants look very healthy and green. I have 1 pumpkin and it is growing slowly; the temps are way too high, up in the high 90's and doesn't usually get below 80 at night. Good luck in your competition. Totally different area but my son showed Dairy cows in FFA for years, the word fair still brings back very fond memories.
good luck, neva |

I might as well update you on our biggest... It has gained over 900 lbs since July 20th and still doing over 25 lbs a day, its peak growth was 40.5 lbs but the sustained gains were between 30-33.5 lbs daily, if the estimates hold true I have a new personal best with 5 weeks to go.
I have another closing in on 1000 lbs and 2 more smaller fruit between 5-600 lbs. These pics were taken a week ago. |

I'm glad you all posted your results. I bought pumpkins yesterday and wondered how it was going for you guys growing the giants. My last one died in August, so I did not do well. I haven't decided for sure but I think I will use my limited space for veggies I know I can grow. I may plant smaller versions for the grandkids.
thanks for posting your results, it's a challenge but also a lot of hard work. A special congrats to the New Oklahoma State Record winner. Neva |

A NEW World record was set yesterday as well 1725 in Ohio by a female grower.
4 of the top 5 this year are 1600+ lbs. I need a bigger truck for next year.
