Only been to Austin for two weeks visiting someone, I have no idea where anything is, lol. And yes, there is never anything around us on a normal day, lol.

Looking for pure sinewave generator with 50 amp plug.

I have no idea what part of Dell Valle you are at.
BUT if you look up Home depot there is one not far away.
And all along Ben White IE 71 there are a bunch of industrial places.
If you are east of the airport and wanted to go to Home Depot and avoid traffic I would go to Bastrop instead.
I really would.
You would be going against the rush hour traffic free sailing.
Bastrop has home depot Lowes and Academy on your side of town all next to each other.
Then there is stuff down town.

I would start at Home Depot and Lowes. Most likely, all stores in SE Texas are (or will soon be) sold out of them.

If you just want something (short term) to run window ACs and refrigerator, check out Harbor Freight, if there is one in Austin.
Here is a link to a medium duty one that I would check:

https://www.harborfreight.com/4000-M...k3In0%3D%0D%0A

Again, not "John Deere" quality but something that might suffice. At this point whatever is in stock that you can take with you would be my priority...

What streets downtown Bastrop?

We are five minutes from the airport, south east.

My friends are new here. They only know Main Street with the tourist shops and near HEB, Walmart area. These are the only places they go off of 71, getting off at Heisler.

Compressors pull a lot of current when they start a cycle, so leave a margin. Sometimes the surge load rating isn't up to it. Good luck!

And remember to get oil!

There's flooding all along different areas of 71. We already pulled up the current flood map. Lots of water around us. Well, we'll figure it out.

B&B Auto Supply has 7 flood triangles around it and the road they are on (Chestnut) is closed. We can only hope to find a generator. If we have to order online and have it shipped we'll do that. At least we would have one. Called Home Depot, they are sold out.

Corpus has minimal damage, so I could have it shipped to a local pace like our friends machine repair shop where we could pick it up.

I would also expand your search to areas well north of you - as these stores would have a better probability of having one in stock: Temple, Killeen then Waco, in that order.

Good hunting!
