Oh my gosh Ginny, seeing your toes in flip flops makes me want to move near you so badly! It's going to be -8 tonight and the wind is howling up a storm. Make me feel warm just seeing the pics. They look so green and healthy. That is a good idea putting up a sticky trap before things get out of hand.
Worth, I can't see any of your pics in this thread I'm glad the SM sprouted for you. Did you plant any flowers? My twins to yours aren't up yet. - Lisa |

But I do have flowering bushes trees and shrubs. That really sucks you cant see the pictures it really blows. I put all of them there so people could see the growth rate of plants that are healthy and lot leggy. This is one of the reasons I started early so everyone including my area could look and maybe learn. I dont mean to sound like I am bragging because I am not. I am just a simple hillbilly that has had to learn from mistakes because there was no internet when I started and very few books. My belief is it does no good to learn if you dont pass it on to others. Knowledge not shared is knowledge wasted. Worth |

Mighty fine looking plants Worth. Will you pot these up again before planting out or not?

The rest are not that big by far and I now have many of them back under lights and have given them a heavy dose of fertilizer some water. I shouldn't need to put them in bigger pots. The test plants so far do not show any signs of being root bound Quote:
They are quite spectacular in the spring of the year. Eastern redbud western redbud and so on. Worth |

Here is a picture of the gang back under the lights some are still outside along with the peppers.
You will also see the bottles I am using to fertilize and water with and the cap I use so I can count as I pour so I can measure how much each plant gets. It works great you can buy the better pour spouts at the grocery stores in the kitchen section. I am giving each plant a 1 2 count which is about 3/4 of an ounce of full strength MG plant food. Then I come back and water them. This is the first time I have given these guys full strength. Worth IMG_20160110_41920.jpg IMG_20160110_52312.jpg IMG_20160110_2837.jpg |

Yet another eureka moment.
For I dont know how long I have been raising and lowering the lights so I can do stuff. Then due to the reflectors and towels I have hanging I have to fool around and adjust and look to make sure I am back to where I belong so I dont burn the leaves. Well this time I was doing it and asked myself why I don't mark the chains so I dont have to do this. I looked over and picked up two foam ear plugs and inserted them in the link above where I hook the chain. What an idiot why didn't I think of this before. Worth IMG_20160110_38122.jpg |

I pulled Fred out of his 1/2 pint jar and ripped the root ball open to see how bad off it was. It wasn't root bound at all and most of the roots were on the outside of the container where I was watering it. It now has a new container to live in with real soil and not seed starting mix. Picture coming soon, you are going to get a kick out of the new home for Fred the tomato plant. Worth |
