There was one tomato we grew here 2015 that I honestly didn't think was going to be all that impressive. I'm very glad that I was wrong. Pink Ping Pong is a funny name, but it has a really good taste - at least when grown during record rainfall followed by 100+F Texas humid heat. I would call the taste, slightly spicy and excitingly cool. There's you a different way to describe taste.

I will grow it Spring/Summer 2016 and Summer/Fall 2016 and again in Spring/Summer 2017. This variety went through hell and produced a very good tasting product. It earned its spot in our garden.

I am revising my returns.
I have retired a lot more varieties from past that I previously intended, giving room to my (almost) 13 new selections: So here are the one that shall return:
AZOYCHKA, BIG BEEF, BROWN HEART, BLACK FROM TULA, PURPLE HEART, SILETZ, WILLAMETTE.
Every year I end up growing more new varieties than returns. Life is too short.

PS:
The reason I triy new unknown (to me) varieties is to find ones that like my climate, are productive and have average or better taste. Every year I discovered a few, ~5 out of 10 that I tried . AND in 2016 I will have 9-10 new ones. I am shooting to pick 5 winners out of then.

I'm with you there. Nothing from last year is returning now.

Too many varieties to grow and Tormato definitely helped me decide what to grow.

So excited for next year now.

Old friends are coming back from years before and going to meet new ones.
I am really looking forward to the dwarfs and all of the peppers.

I can almost taste Orange Russian spiced with Bulgarian carrot with a few speckles of red mushroom.

Or Aji Lemon with Azoychka and a spattering of Riesentraube.

Fresh Fresno stuffed with black cherry.

Aunt Ruby's German green with Manzano.

I though NAR, IS, Riesentraube, OR .. were your all time favorites !

Aji Lemon is very similar to Lemon Drop (?), I think. Has great flavor for fresh eating and in salsa. Yea color matches Azoychka.
Can you do Manzano down there ? : I though they need cooler climate !!

They are but I couldn't start seeds before and had to buy what was at the store.
If I can get one just one Manzano seed to sprout it will be a house plant that I can roll in and out.
Lemon drop and Aji Limon are the same critter.

I saw a guy eat one whole one time without a drop to wash it down in sight.

Of the near-thirty varieties I grew this year, I'm only really keen on growing Pruden's Purple and the tomatoes I'm breeding out of Husky Cherry Red (the seeds I have are F3). However, I'm also considering these, since they did okay:

* A tomato I'm breeding out of Early Girl (the seeds I have are F3)
* Black Plum
* Galapagos Island (Solanum cheesmanii)—the wintersown.org fall 2014 kind

If I had more space I'd grow Green Giant, too, even though it's not heat-tolerant. It's tempting, anyway.

Of the tomatoes I've grown on previous years (I hadn't grown a lot of tomatoes before this year), the only one I'm keen on growing again is Early Girl F1 (mostly to try to breed more tomatoes out of it, but also because I like the taste of the orange tomatoes when they're not watered much, in low-nitrogen soil), and maybe Yellow Pear (if I can find a tasty strain that is a bit bigger; we used to have one I liked a lot back in the day). I'm wanting to try replacing Yellow Pear with Medovaya Kaplya and Japanese Trifele Yellow.

As for your list I am really looking forward to Black Cherry coming back I love them.
I am looking forward to Indian stripe because I have never grown it before.

Right now I am on my last leg of guaranteed to grow great tomatoes in Texas list tryouts so I can start selling tomato plants maybe next year.
Black Cherry should sell like hot cakes on name alone.
