@max..."I attempted to make a grape trellis (on the left), I bought a bareroot grape plant for $25 and one month after planting I see absolutely nothing. I have no experience with grape so I don't know how long it takes for a bareroot plant to start growing leaves. An article said up to 6 weeks so I hope it's alive." that is a lot of money for a bareroot grape. contact them and tell them there is no new growth and ask if they would refund your money or send you a new grape in the Fall. grapes are actually very easy to propagate. all you have to do is stick the cane into the ground when you are pruning off the old growth in the Late winter (save the canes in the fridge until the ground thaws enough to push it in if the ground is frozen) or peg a new stem to the ground and it will make a root at a leaf node by next year.

This red cherry plant that I thought was GGWT, it's 20ft wide now and choking out all the other plants around. It's just ridiculous now, going to be fun cleaning out this mess. I pick about 4lbs of cherries every few days.

went from drought conditions to monsoon rain overnight.
3 inches of rain in 12 hours. I will have to see how many varieties of tomatoes do their splits. I already had 2 BER victims before the rain. |
