What I did last summer on some of my earthboxes is use the professional weed block, that I already had, the real thick one. Cut it to size, and used staples to keep it down.
The covers are too expensive on their website. They use to be .99
Water gets through it, but it worked for me.

Good idea! Earthbox usually has sales on the covers in the winter.
