There are many variations on the "Big Jim" pepper... Lumbre, Legecy, etc.
His sons created some of them...

Love all the pepper pictures. I had a pretty decent container garden on my driveway.
In the beginning of the summer, a rabbit or some other varmant eat a lot of my pepper
seedlings I had planted in my raised beds in the back. I'm going to have to try those
varieties again next summer, but all will be in containers in the front. They don't seem
to bother those.
Of the few varieties of peppers I grew this summer, my favorite was Criolla de Cocina,
Aji Limo Rojo(which is a chinense), and Onza Rojo (drying pepper). I have saved
plenty of seeds, especially the Criolla de Cocina to give away.
Next year I'm going to try again, the Japanese varieties that were victim to the rabbits.
Looks like I will be ordering more earthboxes.

Here is a link to the C Chinese peppers.
Contrary to popular belief they are not native to China.
Aji Limo Rojo is native to Peru not China as Rare Seeds mistakenly says it is.

I made some 7 Pot Primo pepper infused salt. It's beautiful and full of flavor. I made a course and fine grind, although it's too spicy for most people it has a good flavor. I might need to cut down on the amount of peppers. It's smells like fruit and I would call it an apple/banana smell. I'm gonna play with the recipe to get it so normal people can eat it and enjoy the flavor. I might have to add this to the store list, it's that good.

2 sheet pans of flavor!!!!!

What to do with a couple hundred Aji peppers? And I haven't picked a quarter of them yet...

That's a good problem to have!!!

I bought a dehydrator yesterday and tested it with 7 Pots. It's gonna be nice to save space and use them for all sorts of things.

Rajun your salt looks great. A version for normal earthlings would be appreciated.

Yes that's true. Aji Limo Rojo is from Peru.

Indeed, and biggest reason for the confusion is the misspelling of chineNse, just like you did above. Most people miss the extra "N" altogether.

Any info on the Arnucho variety? Where'd you get seeds? Looks similar to Aji Cachucha, which I'll be growing this winter. Great harvest all around!
