Last year I put together some ties that I really like. They're easy to make, easy to use, and easy on the stems.
I used a package of pre-cut garden twist ties, 8" long. I think they're available in most garden centers. Plastic covered to last longer and pre-cut because it's faster and I'm lazy. Then I took some silicone tubing for aquariums and cut into 3" lengths. I had some laying around from an old fish tank, if you have to buy new it's pretty cheap, and I like the green color as it blends well, but clear works too. Just cut the tubing and slide in the twist tie and you have a nice strong yet soft tie that's easy to install. |
