Seedless Brandywine?
I just ate an exceptionally tasty smallish Brandywine with lunch and I noticed there were absolutely no seeds to be found! no gel anywhere, I spent some time looking, just solid tasty tomato meat. Has anyone else ever found a seedless tomato?

About one every year or two, but never a Brandywine. That one always seems to have plenty of gel, which gives the variety so much tangy flavor. The seedless ones, for me, have always been early picks from the plant, and smaller than average for the variety. Dr. Lve Apple |

Save some seeds from it please. I would like to grow it next year. I'll trade you for some seeds I get from my seedless watermelon.

Ami, your post about Ashleigh gave me a chuckle. The first year I grew it, the
first fruit I sampled had just a couple of seeds. I logged on to T'Ville, seached for Ashleigh, and your post, "where's the seeds" came up. Thank goodness for it! Seriously, I had a couple of fruits from plants that survived an accidental overspray (probably weed-be-gone, it was a solution sprayed from a backpack sprayer). Neither variety did well-it was early in the season and I left one of the small intial fruit on hoping to get at least some seeds from each variety. The taste was very good but no seeds. I figured just too much stress for these plants. Other plants that were pruned and had all blossoms removed and went on to produce a somewhat normal crop. |

The first Big Rainbow i harvested had hardly any seeds. Very little for a fairly big tomato.
