Default "Bulberry"

In a book about Butch Cassidy, his sister wrote that she made BUL berry pie for his supposed visit home in 1925.
I've Googled but it always comes up BIL berry and MUL berry.
Has anyone heard of BUL berries?

Looking up 'bullberry', I got : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shepherdia_argentea

That plant is found sporadically in Utah, home of Cassidy... the berries are described as bitter, but that might temper with cooking as they're also described as being great for making jelly.
