I found this thread after posting in another thread (large barred boar).

Anyway here is my Berkley Tie Dye and Large Barred Boar.

As noted in the other thread I found that both do better on the counter than they do on the vine.

I really had fun with these this year and will grow them again next year. They were grown in self watering containers this year but I will plant them in the ground next year.

Brad, did you catch the pic of Fuzzy Cherokee that we had at Tomatopalooza?



Definitely on teh brownish side, good size, with the unusual matte/fuzzy non-shiny skin of the so called Peach tomatoes. It probably looks much like the old extinct Livingston variety Large Rose Peach!

[did you catch the pic of Fuzzy Cherokee that we had at Tomatopaloozate]
Looked at a bunch of the pictures but missed that one. How did people like it? I am pretty sure is is a mutant. Found it several years ago and always looked just like the orginal.
Are any results posted from Tomatopolooza?

I hope to post my TP IV results soon. I do recall that I
prefer Large Barred Boar and Pork Chop over Fuzzy Cherokee.

FC has been an odd plant for me this year, but it has been an odd year.

My recollection of the Fuzzy Cherokee flavor was that it was fair - nothing too great - had quite a bit larger seed cavities/much more seeds/gel than Cherokee Purple. I find with the various blacks that I like the ones that are meatier - for example Black from Tula and Black Krim are much seedier than Cherokee Purple/Chocolate and I much prefer the flavor of the Cherokees (much sweeter to my taste buds)
