lime and wood ashes RAISES not lowers PH. wood ashes do it FAST, be careful using wood ashes.

Raybo are those the The Big Bertha peppers? I bought seeds to try this
year. They did really well and I will be growing them again next year.
Here is a picture of one turning red and to the left is another big green
one. I bought them when I saw you had so many peppers. When not
crowded the peppers are much bigger.

Roper,

The two Peppers in the back are the Big Bertha, while the 2 in the front are Early Thickset, in both 'Tainers. I thought I was doing something "smart" by going down from 6 plants last year, to only 4 this Season. Wrong!!

Next year, I am going to plant only 2 Big Bertha Peppers per 'Tainer, just like as with the tomatoes so they would have plenty of leg-room to spread out and more fully develop.
