Default Pumpkins/Winter Squash. What are you growing this year?

Well we have been talking peppers and tomatoes so how about punkins and winter squash? What is everyone going to grow this year? I know Red is going to say one of his will be Cushaw.

I have 3 French heirlooms and these.

Atlantic Giant

Winter Luxury

Howden

New England Pie

Dickenson ( Cheese Type)

Turner Family

Australian Butter

Kobacha

Black Futsu

Some pretty cool stuff. Can't wait to try the new to me ones and see how my old favorites do.Btw watch out for Satan's Vile Brethren aka Squash Vine Borers.

I wish I had more space because winter squash are nearly tied with tomatoes as my favorite summer crop. I am lucky to be in an area that doesn't attract SV borers. As it is I'll be crowding a bit to grow:

Butternut Rugosa (Seeds from Italy)
Pennsylvania Dutch Crookneck (SSE)
Gill's Golden Pippin (Sandhill)
Tonda Padana (Seeds from Italy)

butternut and buttercup. usually it's just the former but i'm sure i can get buttercup plants to survive the svb by covering the plants with frc until july 4th. it worked for delicata this past summer no reason it shouldn't for any squash.

I am planting Blue Hubbard to be used as a "trap crop". I'm gonna plant them on the outside edges of the gardens. Supposedly they are the preferred cucurbit of the cuke beetle and other pests. I had a tough time with the cuke beetles last year, so I'm gonna try to attract them to the Blue Hubbard and spray the heck out of 'em.

I'm growing:

Greek Sweet Red (moschata)
Waltham Butternut
Musquee de Provence
spaghetti
Sucrine du Berry (moschata)
Thelma Sanders Sweet Potato (acorn type)
Scarchuks Supreme (a pepo with, allegedly, some degree of borer resistance)
Seminole (moschata)
