Default seed potatoes wholesale

I am looking for a place to buy seed potatoes at wholesale to re-sell at our farm market. Anyone know of a company that does wholesale seed potatoes?

Kenny,
I am aware that you had the same question on where to buy wholesale seed potatoes on Local Harvest. I tried to contact a nursery fairly close to you in Ohio to ask them where they bought theirs for sale, but no call back yet.
I am surprised that Googling (wholesale seed potatoes) was not productive for me. I will still attempt to find a supplier for you yet. Wood Prairie Farms, Ronnigers and a few others would be OK if you don't mind paying a bit more than you would like. Otherwise a garden center supply outfit may help, however, go to a commericial potato grower and ask to buy potatoes by the hundred pound sack from them.
There are 14 states that grow certified potatoes. Contacting the certification offices in any of those states may lead you to a grower who is willing to sell potatoes in a 50lb. box. Frieght may be prohibitive but Michigan and Wisconsin might be your best bets.

I've listed the 14 states in order of their 2008 and 2009 certified acres.

AK CA CO ID ME MI MN MT NE ND NY OR WA WI Acres
STATE 2008 2009 Total Acres
AK 275.60 98.65
CA 511.00 760.97
CO 12240.70 11470.81
ID 31004.68 31899.51
ME 10028.00 10773.86
MI 1993.45 2242.07
MN 7156.42 6108.41
MT 9995.53 10332.11
NE 5429.98 5083.82
ND 6178.95 15364.15
NY 911.15 876.71
OR 2531.60 2407.50
WA 2652.29 2856.03
WI 8302.02 8163.48
TOTAL USA ACRES (2008) 10,9211.36 (2009) 10,8444.30

Of the 400 or so varieties listed for 2009, about 1/2 are produced on very few acres...less than 7 acres. I will offer individual growers to access seed potatoes if you want them in 50lb lots per variety, but mostly in private PM's.

Default seed potatoes

I can get them from a place close to me but I am trying to omitt the middle man as he is making more then I can. I also googled "seed potatoes" and had no luck. I would like at least 100#'s of the little reds, yukon gold and possibly another variety.

Thanks for the help.
