I keep mine in the cellar, spread apart and covered....keep out of light.

When I harvest I let the small ones remain as volunteers....they do just about as well.

Here my season is short so the fall harvest is IT...then we wait for frost and SNOW.

cant get too cold there if you can leave them in the ground.

Or you get a ton of snow before it gets cold and the ground never freezes.

Ive heard that,yes they are poisonous but that you would need to eat vast amounts before you suffer any ill effects,just how poisonous and what specifically are the effects i would be interested in learning more about
