Varieties from Belarus?
Hi,
I have a friend who was born in Belarus (former Soviet Union) and I would like to get her some tomato seeds that have some connection to the country. She remembers that the tomatoes there tasted so incredibly good. Does anyone know off the top of their head any varieties that hail from there? If I strike out with Belarus, I would try to get her some from Ukraine. Thanks! |

Cleo-if you do a search for Andrey, in the user name search function, using Andrey_By as the user name, you will see a lot of info. Andrey is our good tomato friend from Belarus. He has also posted his seed list for several years, I think.

many of his Belarus ones are commercial varieties bred in Belarus but some are OP heirloom varieties. You must get Orange Minsk which is a variety that Andrey picked up at the Farmer's Market in Minsk. I love it and offered seeds for it here last year in my annual seed offer but don't know if I'll have enough seeds to do the same for my next seed offer.

Go ahead and shoot Andrey a PM and I'm sure he will help. Ami
