When I see dark green tomato getting pale on the blossom end , I can tell that it has reached mature stage in size. Give it another 10 days or so to see some ripe color break.
Any day now, Marsha . Gardeneer |

Oh Karen, we have color break on one. Gardeneer was right. Too soon to tell if it will be orangy or pink, or red.
I just about can't stand it!!! |

It's amazing to me about just how exact 2 F1s will act. Heres the other plant with fruit showing some color.

Well well, looky here! These are the fruits of the 2 different plants, the one on the left is plant 2, right is plant one. Remember everyone, this is an F1 and no chance of a seed mixup because I did these a month later than all my other seeds. Fruit is very early maturing. Haven't tasted yet.
Ambrosia Gold instability strikes again! ![]() What do you think Karen, seeds from both saved separately? This could actually be even more fun. ![]() |

There are several of the purple one ripening, and just one more of the pink.
I put a known pink next to it to compare the color, and snap the photo and it definitely is pink. I tasted (gobbled)the first purple one. Lovely balanced flavor, very complex, leaning a bit toward sweet, texture firm but not crunchy. Thin skin. They crack in the rain, which until today was nonstop. Did I mention it tasted great? Heeee! ![]() When the second pink ripens, I will start seed saving for both colors. |
