I love Black Friday/Cyber Monday online -- but not the mad house at brick and mortar stores. Of course, it presumes that the seed merchants will again offer free shipping or other discounts this season.
It's not that far off -- making my list... Harris: Esterina, Burpee: Orange Slice Hyb. and Chef's Choice Orange Hyb. I grew a very nice F3 (I think) of Orange Slice and it was excellent, but I'd like to see how it compares side-by-side with the original. -GG |

I shop for seeds on Black Friday but not garden seeds.
Tractor Supply usually has black oil sunflower seeds for bird feeding in 50 lb bags on sale on that day. I think that they were about $12.99 last year instead of $17.99. Don't quote me on the price but they have been on sale for a really good price on Black Friday for the last 3 years. |

I never thought about getting free shipping on seeds on Black Friday! I don't need many seeds, but here goes:
1. Dr. Carolyn- We tasted it at CHOPTAG & loved it. 2. Two tasty dwarves, one with large toms & one with cherry sized toms for a friend with a small patio. Any suggestions? I own Husky Red F1 seeds, but I don't know much about it. 3. Thinking of starting my own Sungolds from seed this year. 4. An early determinate to kick-start the season. As I'm from Pittsburgh, one of the Heinz varieties is most appropriate. My grandmother worked at the former Heinz plant here. Any suggestions for a strong tasting, good tasting one? Nan |

My wife and our younger son work at Walmart - Black Friday is a bad word.

If I was still able to get out to shop on Black Friday, which I never did anyway, if it was tomato seeds I was looking for, which I wouldn't be,these are the ones I'd buy
BF= Black Friday for all of the following should precede the specific #'s. and the specific ones I'd get would be: #1C #3A #7R #40 #5L #2Y #6N As ever, Carolyn

Reading the letter's vertically spells out a certain person's name and the numbers include the same person's home address number (137) and maybe the last four are the last digits of a social security number?

No, the last 4 are not my SS #'s, which is 8674%$942 ![]() All I was concerned with was not having to use a two digit #,like 12,which would put everything out of sequential vertical sync, which we abbreviate here in our county where I live as SVS. ![]() ![]() You did very well though,George and as a reward how about seeds for some new tomato varieties you've never heard of before. ![]() ![]() Carolyn, who must get back to you on that fruit color change, who just realized she hadn't done that, along with maybe 100's of other things on her to do list as well. ![]() ![]()

Carolyn,
I don't think anyone would turn down seeds for some new tomatoes. I am seriously thinking of retiring from the testing lab soon and should have a lot more time to focus on growing tomatoes. I should get out a PM soon about the color change tomato, as well as the Indian Stripe RL heart one. Hopefully the nor'easter that is headed to the East doesn't cause you a lot of problems. George
